“It felt raw, real and personal. You’re connecting with the artist. It had a nice story from start till ending and progressed really nicely”

WHERE TO WATCH THE HANGING MAN

"THE HANGING MAN" is a short film that addresses themes of self-loathing and existential doubt. Christian Søgaard, the director, explores the relationship between the artist and his own self-loathing, taking the audience on a journey through a world of inner demons and self-reflection. With a unique and visual style, "THE HANGING MAN" will challenge the audience to reflect on their own demons.

"Conceptual documentary is a term I often use when it comes to explaining my narrative style. I want to be able to challenge, but also create visual images that take the real and close in the documentary and elevate it to something more artistic. There is something exciting about living in the divide between the poetic and the concrete."
